Day two! I slept for almost 12 hours last night. Then I woke up and had an awesome breakfast in the hotel. I forgot to bring my phone downstairs, so I will try to post a picture tomorrow. They had at least 20 different cheeses, multiple kinds of bread, an assortment of jams, lots of different meats, vegetables, yogurt cereal and baked goods! I think I tried almost everything. I live for food (especially fancy foreign food). Then I went back upstairs and took a nap ❤. At lunchtime I walked to my dad's office, and we went to lunch with some of his colleagues. We had lunch at an Asian restaurant. My dad and I split some really good pad Thai. My dad went to get coffee with a colleague, so I walked back to the hotel. Before dinner, we took a walk on the Prominade. It's about a 2-mile bike and walking path surrounded by trees that encompasses the busy part of the city. Almost everyone rides bikes here! I don't think I've ever seen this many bikes in my life. After our walk we met up with one if my dad's friends and had dinner at a restaurant called Grotes. I had a "historic tomato salad" which is the German way of saying heirloom tomatoes (so, tomatoes of all colors and varieties). It was really good! Now I'm off to bed at a more reasonable hour (11pm)!
