I skipped yesterday's post because I did nothing yesterday! (And it won't let me post the only picture I took all day...)
We left the hotel this morning and drove into the city. Anja's family is leaving today, but Anja and I are staying with a friend. After breakfast, we drove to the city and then took the train to the middle of Berlin. Anja and I parted ways with everyone because she had got us tickets to go up into the German version of the White House called the Reichstag building. There is a large glass dome at the top that you can walk around and look out at the city. We had an audioguide to help point out different buildings and landmarks. It was cool to be able to see the city from all angles. After that we took our stuff to her friend's apartment. Her friend Linda goes to school in Berlin, and they met through the exchange program to the US! Linda was in the US at the same time Anja was. After dropping our stuff off, we went to go find dinner. We ended up at a restaurant called Vapiano's which was really good but had an extremely long wait. We waited about an hour and a half total to order/get our food. But the food was really good! The Germans put arugula on everything and I love it! While we were there we met a girl from the US that had been teaching English in Austria for the past two years. It was really cool to sit and talk with her. After dinner, we went back to the apartment and hung out with Linda! Then bed
